New 3S gondola lift

High-performance rope for Germany’s first 3S gondola lift.

The tricable gondola lift was built specifically for the 2011 Federal Garden Show as both an attraction and an environmentally friendly transport link.

Today, it is not only a highlight for visitors but also an important part of the public transport network, connecting the railway station with Ehrenbreitstein and facilitating travel between the two parts of the city. As Germany’s first 3S gondola lift, it has a transport capacity of 3,800 passengers per hour in each direction.
