Titan RT Suspension Bridge

Solutions for lightweight structures

Pedestrian suspension bridge

Full locked coil ropes and spiral strand ropes for the TITAN RT suspension bridge.

Over 450 metres long, around 100 metres high: one of the longest suspension bridges in the world.

The pedestrian bridge in the Rappbodetal runs parallel to Germany's highest dam and is a major tourist attraction in the region. The 118-tonne bridge hangs on four steel wire ropes and is held in position by two stabilising ropes. For installation, the four FATZER steel wire ropes were pulled across the Rappbode reservoir using a purpose-built material ropeway.
