Road suspension bridge
Full locked coil ropes for the hanger ropes of the Hålogaland Bridge.

One and a half kilometres across the fjord, away from the avalanche slope: Norway’s second-longest suspension bridge shortens journeys and makes the road safer.
The Hålogaland Bridge spans one and a half kilometres across the Rombaksfjord in the municipality of Narvik. Norway’s second-longest suspension bridge is part of the region’s most important road network. This network was newly built to shorten journey times, relieve villages of traffic and move traffic away from a section at risk of avalanches. The bridge deck hangs from two suspension ropes, each weighing 2,000 tonnes. The connection between the suspension ropes and the deck is made by 122 hanger ropes from FATZER.
