New material ropeway

High-performance wire ropes for the low-emission transport of municipal waste.

Municipal waste is disposed of with minimal noise and dust impact on nearby residents.

The City of St. Gallen used a conveyor belt system for backfilling its landfill, enabling reliable transport over short distances regardless of weather conditions. Thanks to its movable discharge point, the installation could be adapted as requirements evolve. A second, shorter system was integrated into the existing track rope structure without interrupting ongoing operations. The installation has since been dismantled.
