Skymetro is an automated, driverless transportation system that connects the terminals at Zurich Airport with the railway station and parking facilities.
Two separate lines serve six stations. Each train accommodates up to 80 passengers. The Skymetro operates every three to four minutes, is free of charge, and runs around the clock. By 2027, the system will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment by the ropeway manufacturer Garaventa. In the future, each train set will consist of four cars instead of three.
