At the time of its opening, the 10.6-kilometre Cablebús 2 was the longest ropeway line in Latin America.

Connecting the central-eastern part of Mexico City via seven stations, the line carries up to 100,000 people per day in more than 300 cabins. Travel time along the route has been reduced from 75 to just 36 minutes, giving residents better access to workplaces, schools and leisure opportunities.

Cablebús is a ropeway system seamlessly integrated into Mexico City’s public transport network. Three lines are already in operation, with three more under development. Ranging from five to 15 kilometres in length, the lines connect the city’s outskirts with the centre and carry many millions of people every year.
