New 3S gondola lift
A complete package of high-performance ropes for a comfortable journey to the glacier.
The tricable gondola lift transports passengers from the village of Grindelwald to the Eiger Glacier, covering almost 6.5 kilometres in just 15 minutes.
The installation operates year-round and is used for both passenger and material transport. One of its key innovations is a fully automated material handling system: goods are transferred from the conveyor system to a vertical conveyor, which then passes them to a loading robot that automatically loads the cabin.
