New aerial tramway
High-performance ropes connecting two mountain peaks.
With a free span of more than 2,000 metres, the aerial tramway overcomes a vertical difference of just eight metres.
It connects the Grafenberg and Griessenkareck mountains across the valley, enhancing the appeal of the ski area. Previously unconnected, the two peaks are now just a five-minute ride apart. At full capacity, the rope sag can reach 150 metres, which is why two support towers at the valley and mountain stations ensure a controlled minimum clearance.
